Maddie May - After 13 years of on and off yoga practice–dabbling here and there in an attempt to “chill out”, be super flexible, and then finally as a means to heal from a serious injury– Maddie found a regular yoga practice and a deeper meaning in Forward Fold than touching her nose to the ground or trying to do a split. Yoga became a critical part of Maddie’s healthy lifestyle, and in April of 2015 she completed 200 Hour Certification with the Soma Institute.
Well-accustomed to training the body as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, as well as an online fitness professional, Maddie offers yoga as a vehicle to connect body and the mind through the breath. She finds that this union brings fitness to an entirely different level.
Maddie's personal Yoga practice brings her back to a friendship with herself. Whether it’s kicking her own butt into a better attitude (we all know a good sweat can release all that toxic mental talk) or bringing herself to a place a self-forgiveness. Regardless of the yoga style, the purpose is to nourish and reconnect my mind and body, because like most humans, she become disjointed in this crazy place we call earth.
Maddie offers private and group yoga instruction by appointment and can be reached at ladymmayfitness@gmail.com (see more information at www.ladymmay.com). She also teaches many public classes through Dartmouth Flip and at Mighty Yoga. When not doing yoga (or fitness and wellness) related things, Maddie greatly enjoys good company (friends, family, students, animals, and energy) while living life. For her, life involves fresh air, puzzles, random adventures, and good wine. He most passionate hobby though, is laughter and finding the most positive experience, even in the worst circumstances.

Hope Aguilera is a young yogi/artist/college student who has been practicing yoga for over 6 years. Originally from Los Angeles, California, her and her family moved here about 6 years ago where she has found serenity in a simple and rural life. Hope is currently a sophomore at Colby-Sawyer College where she is studying printmaking and studio art. She graduated from her 200 HR RYT program focused on traditional Ashtanga yoga last year at Living Yoga in Concord NH. Her teaching style reflects the power and integrity of an Ashtanga yoga practice, the fluidity of a vinyasa flow, and the playfulness and self exploration of a young and creative yogi. She is also a Reiki practitioner, and believes in the power of holistic healing and therapy. She hopes to share some of that self-healing with every student in her classes through yoga and mindfulness.
Her favorite piece of wisdom is: “All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present. Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry – all forms of fear – are caused by too much future, and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of non-forgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence.” – Eckhart Tolle

Molly Smith has been practicing yoga for 12 years. She first discovered traditional Hatha yoga in high school, before going on to exploring Forrest, Bikram, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Aerial in college and graduate school. After graduating from the Abhyasa Yoga Institute's 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program in early 2014, Molly taught yoga full time at a variety of studios all over New Hampshire, focusing her teaching on yoga for healing, back pain and stress and anxiety management. In October 2015, Molly continued her yoga education by completing OM Factory's 60 Hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in New York City. She enjoys teaching all styles of yoga, but particularly loves blending the heat of Vinyasa with the calm grace of Hatha.
Molly strongly believes that the yoga practice is not about touching your toes; it's what you learn on the way down. In the spirit of this philosophy, she blends aspects of the entire 8 limbs of yoga into her classes, encouraging students to expand their minds while strengthening their bodies. Molly offers private and group yoga instruction by appointment and can be reached at molly.l.smith@dartmouth.edu or 570-660-0859. She will also be teaching an outdoors all-levels class at Sweetland Farm in Norwich on Tuesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm (please contact her for more info). When not doing yoga related things, Molly works in Development at Dartmouth and is a graduate student at Harvard studying Sustainability and Environmental Management. She also likes to rock climb, run, drink beer and daydream about when she'll eat her next burger.
